The 2020 Tokyo Olympics is a huge event for sportswear brands. Being invited to design uniforms for competing athletes is a great promotional opportunity for brands. The spirit of promoting sports and fitness will also encourage more people to exercise more enthusiastically.

In celebration of the Tokyo Olympics, Nike has teamed up with four designers from four hypebeast fashion brands for a limited-edition collection. They are Virgil Abloh from Off-White, Chitose Abe from Sacai, Jun Takahashi from UNDERCOVER, and Yoon Ahn from AMBUSH. They will launch sportswear and athleisure collections that revolve around different perspectives on fitness.

The shoe model collaborating with AMBUSH is also the Dunk High. But the shape is more liberally transformed to remind of motorcycle racing culture. The Nike Swoosh logo has been stretched beyond the heel, giving it a sense of life. “I thought, how can I make the shoe feel like it’s moving?” says Yoon Ahn. The neon green color of the shoe is reminiscent of Tokyo’s neon lights.
